Most ski buffs are aware that Park City has some marvelous ski resorts. After all, it was the site of the majority of the 2002 Winter Olympics here in Utah. But even with all that fame, most folks don’t know that there are actually 7 ski and snowboarding resorts within a 30 minute drive of Salt Lake City. That’s right, 7, count em 7. One for each day of the week!
Ski resorts close to Salt Lake City include Solitude and Brighton Ski & Snowboarding Resort (right up Little Cottonwood Canyon), Snowbird ski and summer resort and Alta Ski Resort (up Big Cottonwood Canyon). Park City, The Canyons, and Dear Valley Resorts are all such a short drive, that we locals tend to only go when the snow is great, and Never when it is snowing!
