The 26th floor of Promontory on South Temple is unique among the apartments in this building. Unique because they are not finished…
On Purpose!
These units are called “whitebox” condos, finished to the drywall.
The condos on the 26th-30th floors at Promontory on South Temple have been left for their owners to design and complete for themselves.
Now, don’t get me wrong here, I LOVE the color palette that has been used here at Promontory. The colors are rich and inviting running from light, medium, or dark cherry wood cabinetry and contrasting flooring, to beautifully complimenting granite and contemporary cabinet finishes, these units definitely have the WOW factor when you see them. But there is also an appeal for the rebel in me to be just a little different than the other guy, right?
The basic structure on these Promontory condos remain the same, i.e. where the kitchen is located etc, but the interior finishes i.e. cabinetry, flooring, wall texture and color and any further interior walls would be up to the owner and his or her designer.
The good folks at Promontory on South Temple will help owners with the final construction phase of these particular units as the general contractor, or you may bring your own.
Ok, these units are not for the faint of heart…or those on a limited budget as the starting price for 26th floor at 1900 sq ft is ….drum roll please…. $1.16 million. I think the view of the valley, Temple Square, the Capitol bldg, and well the mountains, is worth almost that much by itself, but hey that’s just me!
