If you have a boat and want easy access to Utah Lake, it’s a no brainer.  Saratoga Springs has an HOA that maintains several boat ramps that are available to launch your boat.  Yes, you pay an HOA fee for the upkeep, but it’s private so you don’t have the long lines that are for say…Willard Bay in the summer!  It’s especially nice for those of you who share our love of  “spontaneous boating”…where you decide after work that you want to take the old bayliner out for a spin for a half hour or so…not to mention the wave runners.  This can be done in 10 short minutes (depending of course how long it takes you to change into your bathing suit…and get the boat cover off), rather than the 1/2 day it takes to pack/unpack and drive up to Jordenelle or Echo.

Commuting to Salt Lake Or Provo is Easy! The new freeway exits of Pioneer Crossing at Saratoga Springs and Mountain View Corridor (right outside Thanksgiving Point) make commuting easy both to Salt Lake and to Provo/Orem.  We have been on both several times and let me tell you, it takes less time than coming from West Jordan and Daybreak.  The roads are wide with few stoplights so your commute is smooth and easy.  It’s much better than the old route of traveling through old downtown Lehi! (and those of you who have done that Know what I am talking about!

If you have children, you naturally want to know about the school system. Well, the school system in Saratoga Springs is excellent.  Alpine School District is one of the best in the state, and much smaller than any of the Salt Lake School Districts.  Alpine also has some innovative programs going for it, and if you have a child with special needs, like Autism, you need look no further for support.

Gardens at Thanksgiving Point

Saratoga Springs has all the shopping you could want within 10 minutes!  Every type of store and restaurant is available within 8 minutes of your deliciously quiet Saratoga Springs home (which is a bonus reason by the way…it’s quiet there and you can see stars at night!).  Movies and entertainment are also abundant between Thanksgiving Point’s new 24 Miller theater complex and the ever expanding shopping area in American Fork.  They have what you want.  Oh, and closer still are the new Saratoga Springs Walmart and Smiths shopping area.

And the number one reason to live in Saratoga Springs….you can use Utah Rural Housing to purchase your home there!  Utah Rural Housing is a USDA sponsored program that offers 100% financing (that’s no down payment folks!) to areas with what They term more rural (populations of less than 50,000).  Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain and Tooele are the closest areas to Salt Lake that qualify for this program.  Next closest would be Tremonton to the sorth, and South of Payson to the south.

Add to that the fact that you can get a newer home with a larger lot than you can get in Salt Lake, and Saratoga Springs can really offer you your dream home.
